Who We Are
Hugh grew up amid the tide pools of Malibu, California, with an early passion for photography, art and nature. He learned fine woodworking in his twenties living in the woods of New England. His mentors were artisans in the home-building and renovation community. He moved back to Los Angeles in 1980 and started Custom Interior Design where he's been mastering the art of furniture and cabinet design and fabrication for over 25 years at his Venice studio. Hugh's modern aesthetic combined with the traditional legacy of handmade craftsmanship bring a spirit to the work that lives on for years to come.
